Three artist, Tadahiro Uesugi, a Japanese reowned illustrator, along with Ronnie delCarmen (one of my favorite artist) and Enrico Casarosa, two Pixar storyboard artist, had various pieces on display. I managed to speak with Ronnie and Tadahiro and snagged several of Ronnie's books. I think Ronnie and Tadahiro's works were a bit better than Enrico's pieces. Other than that, I had a wonderful time.

I knew it was going to crowded The moment I walked into Nucleus I didn't realize that being a pixar employee would have a major impact, I was bit dazed and confused until I talked to a friendly and cool aqquiantance of mine and she introduced me to two of the three artists.

I learned quite a bit about Ronnie he originally was an advertising art graduate with an intrest in animation, eventually learned the idea that led to the creation of Nina a sleeping disorder of some sort that allow to him to work late into the night while daydreaming/dream in his own little world. I managed to purchase his works along with his signature.
Tadahiro, it was difficult to have a conversation, epsecially when my mind when blank on the fourth question. I was really disapointed that nucleus didn't have any of his books on sale.

I really liked ronnie's works and style of art. I love these three pieces on this blog. Nina's portrait on orange paper done with goauche and pencil. Nina gesturing her hands on grey paper with pencil, color pencil, and gouache. Nina's side shot on pink-orange.

Tadahiro has painted wonderful perspective and landscape pieces, which I had a pleasure of viewing.

Enrico's work was colorfulyl cartoony with squiggly outlines and others done with a birds-eye perspective.

This was one show I was really motivated by Ronnie collection on display. Something that will inspire my works for admissons toward art school and later on in my career. I look forward for more of his works and future pixar movies.

First Entire

Well, This is my First entire so don't make fun of it, okay?

I managed to replace my ratty old scratched-up glasses in nearly six years. I can't believe that my old optometrst accidently fumbled with my prescriptions, no wonder i've been having headaches and bad eye sight for the last six years. Thank goodness my optometrist told me or I would have gone blind.

On another subject, I also found a cool artist, David Mack, author and illustrator of Kabuki, at my local bookstore. I wouldn't minded learning his art style this style wouldn't be so bad to have in my art portfolio.
